This index comprises equity securities from developed and emerging market companies positioned to derive meaningful economic benefits from creating or utilizing exponential technologies, which displace legacy systems, spawn new markets, and drive substantial economic shifts. Eligible companies must meet liquidity and market cap thresholds and earn thematic exposure scores of at least 1 across seven key themes identified by Morningstar analysts: artificial intelligence, energy innovation, fintech innovation, healthcare innovation, cybersecurity, next-generation defense technologies, and robotics and automation. The index employs float-adjusted market capitalization weighting, with caps on individual holdings at 4% and core theme exposure at 25%, prioritizing theme leaders based on highest scores, incumbency, and size. It includes large-, mid-, and small-cap stocks from over 25 countries, with significant allocations to technology and healthcare sectors. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in index components or substantially identical securities, including depositary receipts, and up to 20% in derivatives, cash equivalents, or other instruments to facilitate precise tracking.
